First things first: if you or someone you know is intending to participate in the 38th Annual Marathon Sports 5-Miler on Thursday, July 18th, this is your last chance to register online before race day:online registration will close at 11:59:59pm on Friday, July 12th.

More importantly, for those who have registered: We just wanted to give you all a heads up on some of the final details of the race to make sure everything goes smoothly and as planned Thursday evening (7/18 @7pm).
First and foremost, number and packet pickup for all registered runners will be available at Marathon Sports in Wellesley (255 Washington St/Rt. 16) starting Sunday 7/14 from 12pm-5pm.
Race day number pickup will be available AT THE RACE STARTING AREA from 5pm-6:30pm, and the gun will go off at 7pm promptly.
PLEASE NOTE: ANY BROOKS PRODUCT PURCHASED DURING NUMBER PICKUP HOURS AT MARATHON SPORTS WELLESLEY WILL BE 20% OFF!
Race t-shirts are reserved for the first 600 registrants of the race. We're sorry we don't have more shirts, but they're REALLY nice...
If your children are participating in the Kid's Mile, please be sure to arrive by 6pm at the latest; the Kid's Mile will begin at 6:30pm sharp.
Please e-mail your finalized coed team rosters and team names to firstname.lastname@example.org for confirmation. Please use your team name in the subject line.
If we don't have your correct rosters in place, YOUR TEAM MAY NOT BE SCORED.
Parking is available in several areas within a short walk from the start line, but is limited. Please, for the sake of reducing traffic, parking congestion, and ecological impact,carpool wherever possible.
Marathon Sports staff will be on hand to direct parking in an orderly manner, andparking order is determined in a first-come, first-served fashion.
There are 14 portable toilets available near the race starting area, in addition to the facilities within the school. Please respect the surroundings to ensure we are able to continue using the high school as our home base.
Unfortunately we are not equipped to manage or handle any personal items from any race participants. We will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items, so please do your best to bring only what is needed to the race, and store any extraneous items in your car or a similar safe place.

With one week to go, the race is shaping up to be one of our best ever! The 38th Annual Marathon Sports 5-Miler is on July 18th, and registration is nearly full to capacity! That's right, this perennial midsummer classic is back, with a mix of road and trail, flats and hills to keep even the wiliest of veteran runners happy.
To add to the excitement and the challenge, the 2013 Marathon Sports 5-miler will feature the third annual Brooks Coed Team Challenge. Teams of 4 (2 men and 2 women) will be competing for the right to reign champions of the town of Weston for an entire year. To sweeten the deal, Brooks will be outfitting the winning team with a slew of brand new team gear to look the part.
All proceeds from the race benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Massachusetts, and to the One Fund.

THE 2ND ANNUAL MASS AVE MILE
ATTENTION PROCRASTINATORS: The last chance to register online for the 2nd Annual Mass Ave Mile is Thursday, July 18, 2013!
After a wildly successful inaugural running, the City of Cambridge, The Harvard Square Business Association, Whole Foods Markets, Marathon Sports, New Balance Running, and Title IX Girls Running proudly present the SECOND ANNUAL MASS AVE MILE on Sunday, July 21 at 9am, to benefit Cambridge-based nonprofits.
A blistering fast shot straight down Massachusetts Avenue from Porter Square to Harvard Square, the MASS AVE MILE represents the first road mile race run inside city limits as far back as anyone can remember.
Capped at 1,000 runners in two waves (Elite and Open), with cash prizes and primes, the MASS AVE MILE is sure to be a race won't soon forget, whether you're a 4-minute miler or a spectator.
Registration costs $25, and all registered runners will receive a commemorative race shirt courtesy of New Balance. Post-race festivities in Harvard Square courtesy the Harvard Square Business Association and Whole Foods Markets.
