The 2000 series by Asics has been one of America’s most popular running shoes for many years, and each December its loyal followers wait to see what the update will be like. This year Asics has made some slight improvements but kept all the good stuff. Here’s what’s new about this version of the 2000:
NO-SEW OVERLAYS IN THE MIDFOOT
The midfoot saddle is heat-bonded (rather than sewn on) which reduces weight and allows for a more comfortable, less constricted fit.
IMPROVED FOREFOOT MESH
A more flexible mesh and better-positioned overlays in the forefoot allow for more freedom of movement where you need it most.
A more plush-feeling tongue and insole gives runners that nice soft first feel.
A few subtle changes without losing what people love about this popular shoe – a workhorse of a stability shoe that provides soft gel cushioning and a lot of control through the gait cycle. Get a new pair of 2000 v5‘s at your nearest Marathon Sports or at marathonsports.com!
