- toe box
I used to run with Lone Peak 3.0 some years ago. Lone Peak 4.5 are better fit for my feet (toe box still wide, but midfoot is well fitted so that the foot is maintained). Very good for multi-terrain trails. I love them.
He says they are the most comfortable shoes he's ever worn. Plans to train for marathon in the mountains.
I've been hooked on Altra because of their wide toe box and zero drop. It's also a big plus that they feel incredibly comfortable from the moment you put them on. I think the Lone Peak 4.5 were a good upgrade (I had the Lone Peak 4 and had throughly worn them out). I was a bit bummed out that they didn't see to last for as many miles, about 170, but they were also the only shoe I wore for about 3 months.
