This is my FAVORITE shoe. I had never worn the Nimbus before, but when I tried on this update I knew I HAD to have them. They hug my arch, they're soft and squishy, but you don't sacrifice weight-these shoes are still super lightweight. I typically like shoes that are lightweight and firm, but wanted a more cushioned shoe for my easy and long runs. This shoe is soft, but not too soft, and still feels responsive - I could happily do a speed work out in them. I've started wearing them every day for every run! And the colors are so fun! I am always and 8.5 and the 8.5 in the Nimbus 23 fits me perfectly.

As a runner with a wider foot, I've not worn many Asics shoes as I tend to find them a little snug. The Gel Nimbus 23 was surprising roomy and I had no issues at all with the toebox. The upper was very light and breathable and I love that Asics is using a significant percentage of recycled materials in the Gel Nimbus 23 as well as some of their other recent releases. The midsole cushioning felt soft and protective underfoot, and I felt that I could run long miles comfortably. A great addition to your training rotation!
