CUSTOMER RATINGS & REVIEWS
You could call the Adrenaline 21, "The Goldilocks Shoe", because it does a lot of things "just right". The shoe is really comfortable from the moment you step into them. The support offered by the GuideRails is wonderfully effective but unobtrusive. The Adrenaline 21 fits many different foot shapes nicely. The DNA LOFT foam is some great stuff. It will cushion impact nicely, is just firm enough to handle some uneven terrain, but is soft enough for some pretty long runs. That combined with a stable build, and really well designed full rubber outsole, means the Adrenaline 21 can take you off road. I wouldn't recommend running a Pemi Loop in it, but the Adrenaline 21 could handle most road to trail needs. Another awesome shoe from Brooks.
Having gone out for three runs with this shoe, I have found it to be a solid ride that offers good cushion for the road. Brooks continues to make a solid running shoe with each generation of the Adrenaline. It fits a variety of foot types and isn't so structured it acts as a one note shoe. The support/structure is there when you need it (ex: Well into your long run and tired) and doesn't interfere when you don't (first couple miles while fresh and on strong legs). Well cushioned and feels like it will last with you through out the run. The follow through is smooth and overall is a great ride. This shoe is perfect for anyone looking for unobtrusive support and a smooth ride to carry them through a run of any distance.
I have run in the new Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 shoe during my past 3 runs. This shoe has a nice feel with a well cushioned ride and provides stability with the guiderails. The shoe is extremely comfortable and the cushioning extends from the heel to the forefoot. The mesh upper is a soft mesh that gently wraps around my foot providing support yet also allows my foot to have the room it needs when I am on a longer run. This shoe will become one of my go to shoes for all of my training whether it be for long runs or for more aggressive training runs. Brooks Running Shoes are very durable with a well thought out design. This new version of the Adrenaline will continue that tradition.
Brooks knows how to make solid running shoes for all types of runners and the Adreneline 21 does not dissapoint. The Adreneline is basically the Brooks Ghost with Guiderails built around the heal. The Guiderails provide great support to promote proper running form and decrease over pronation or suppination. And, the support is only there when you need it - so there will be very minimal correction if you are running with a neutral gait. I appreciate the durability and quality construction of these shoes as well. They have the right amount of cushion for consistent training but they still are not super bulky. The upper material provides a supportive fit and solid wrap around my foot. This shoe runs true to size for me as well. I have confidence in these shoes for any type of training run on the road! Give this shoe a shot!
Brooks delivers again with the new Adrenaline. The look and feel of this model has remained very consistent over the last few years since their big update from version 18 to 19. The Guiderails support system still provides some of the most gentle arch support, rather than the sometimes harsh feeling that you may get from a medial post in stability shoes from other brands. Some small changes that you may or may not notice are the new mesh upper (slightly more breathable) and more of their DNA Loft cushioning than ever, as it now extends into the midfoot rather than just in the heel. I usually prefer a shoe with a lower heel-to-toe drop, so I definitely noticed my foot being pitched forward, but honestly the cushioning was so soft and the Guiderails so nicely wrapped around my heel that I didn't even care that much. If you enjoy a high heel-toe offset and need a little stability, this shoe will be perfect for all of your running and/or walking. As for fit, the regular men's size (D) was more accommodating in the toe box than many other running shoes, save for Altra and Topo. It comes in wide sizes as well. Another thing about the Adrenaline, and many other Brooks shoes, that deserves praise is how thick and durable the outsole is without sacrificing comfort or efficiency. Clearly a lot of thought has been put into the tread of this shoe, because not only is the rubber a lot thicker than that of other outsoles, but also it covers most of the surface under the shoe. I would not be surprised if this shoe lasted some runners well over 600 miles. Normally this much tread would make the shoe clunky and awkward, but with a few flex grooves in the right places, the ride is smooth and easy. The Adrenaline has always been an absolute workhorse of a shoe, and this version is no different. No frills, neither lightning fast nor bulky and slow. Kind of like the Toyota Corolla of running shoes. Extremely reliable and accessible for all types of feet and all types of miles.
