I didn't want to like these shoes. I saw them there across the shoe room, beckoning me closer to slip them on and go for a run. I resisted for as long as I could, and then, poof, there they were hugging the curves of my feet and supplying a supple, yet reactive, cushioning under my heel. I said, "We are JUST GOING TO WALK!" And walk we did, which didn't take long to turn into a trot, then a jog and before I knew what happened I was running in this seductive Brooks Glycerin 19. The DNA Loft gives you a smooth transition from heel to toe, that almost sensuous as your foot rolls from heel to toe . The upper holds on snuggly in an embrace that gives you a sense of security and safety. This isn't a take it fast shoe, but a shoe for the slow day, slow jams and slow miles that keep you going and going and going.

My new glycerin 19 is replacing my previous year's glycerin. This shoe has been one of my two training shoes and the 19 is a perfect replacement and arrived just in time. The shoe provides a nice soft cushion yet is very responsive and adds a nice spring to my push off. The upper is an attractive mesh with a resilient covered toe area and well constructed heel counter. A little bit less room in the toe box but still fits me very comfortably. Looking forward to putting a lot of miles on this shoe.
