Overall a very fun shoe - very lightweight and breathable. Great cushioning under foot but remains bouncy and responsive. Great daily trainer with performance in mind. The close to foot/sock like upper does create a slightly more narrow fit (an ultra light sock created a perfect fit for me)!
The shoe is very stiff in the forefoot. The material is not my favorite but I like the look/colors of the shoe. It makes my foot look small and thin. There is also no heal pad. I rather have more cushion than less. I will probably only run 2-3 miles in them.
The Levitate 4 is overall a solid and versatile shoe! Starting with fit, this shoe fits nicely and the upper is nice and flexible. My foot is on the more narrow end of the spectrum and its fits beautifully through the toe box and the arch. I tend to have a pretty high arch profile, so the depth of this shoe is very much appreciated. My arches need a little more support, so I put an insert into this shoe and it fits my Aetrex insert perfectly. The only thing that takes some adjustment is the heel counter. Although it fits my narrow heel well, the heel counter is a bit stiff and takes some time to get used to. As far as the cushioning goes, it is comfortable and responsive. This is perfect for your longer runs and walks and adds some spring to your step. It will have a bit of firm initial step in feel and is perfect for those who like a more responsive cushioning, like an ON shoe or the earlier editions of the Saucony Freedom. I tend to lean towards a more cushy feel for shoes that I need to stand in for a while, but this shoe is great for those longer walks and runs. Lastly, as a far look goes-- this a super good looking shoe in person. It is great for whatever your needs are, whether it is running, walking, going to gym, or just needing a better kick around shoe. A big asset is how versatile this shoe is.
The Levitate 4 is a high-cushion shoe that also feels light and stylish - difficult combination for most shoes to achieve! The midsole is springy, the upper is light and breathable, and the slightly stretchy knit fits snugly without causing any pressure spots. My feet are on the wider side, and I had no problems wearing the Levitate for long amounts of time on my feet. Out on the road, I enjoyed the shock absorption that the DNA Amp midsole provided, and was pleasantly surprised at how light the shoe felt. I would happily wear this shoe for cross-training at the gym as well as for running - not to mention forlooking stylish with my non-running outfits!
This is a great shoe for a long workout-they are pretty rigid, so will provide your feet responsive snappiness your whole run. They are higher cushion which adds nice comfort and the upper is super flexible and sock-like. Plus, the look is nice and stylish!
