CUSTOMER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Good becomes great [staff review]
I had two pairs of the Brooks Levitate 1 and liked them; a few subtle improvements has elevated the Brooks Levitate 2 from a good to a now great shoe. The most noticeable difference is a new, more flexible (and prettier - that's important too sometime) upper with a softer heel collar. I should note, this shoe does not have back eyelets. The shoe has a firm and responsive ride with a slightly wider toe box and nice contouring in the mid-foot. (I.e. felt roomy in my toes and 'supported' in my arch.) The shoe is a little heavier so I wouldn't use it for races or really fast runs but on those days when my legs are tired or I'm looking for a little extra pep in my step, this is a go to shoe.
Love this update!
I wore the first Levitate when training for a 1/2 marathon last winter & loved it, so I was super pumped to get into the Levitate 2. This new model is awesome! It has the same bouncy yet soft cushioning (love DNA AMP!), which is so perfect for long runs. What I really like about this update is the upper! The knit material has so much more stretch and less restriction around my foot imperfections (ahem, bunions). The new lacing is snug on my mid foot (but not too snug) and I super love the structured heel counter with the new heel wrap & heel tab--no slipping or chafing! This shoe is substantial and cushioned without being heavy or bulky. Its going to be great for short runs and training for longer distance. Totally a good score!
Knit upper fits MUCH better than the last model! It also looks beautiful. Same responsive ride as the Levitate 1. Definitely on the firmer side for a high cushioned shoe but just what I like for my long runs!
