The new version of the New Balance 1080 has been quite a fun shoe to use! An extremely comfortable shoe, the knit sock liner on the upper fits right around your foot nicely. I have used the shoe on multiple runs now, and it has responded very well. The Fresh Foam provides the necessary support needed for anything from a quick tempo to a long run. The shoe seems responsive enough to me for a workout flat, but has enough support and cushioning for an everyday trainer. I used it on a 14 mile long run and it held up very nicely. I felt very bouncy and quick on the run. The rest of the technology, such as the Ultra Heel worked well. For people that struggle with keeping their heal secure and in place on the run, this shoe does a great job of that. Overall if you are looking for a trainer that offers you a lot of cushioning and support, but is still light and responsive, this is the shoe for you.
