I have LOVED these shoes, I've taken them through everything from short sprint workouts to 400 repeats and they have handled everything amazingly. Very high energy return yet somehow plush and soft under the midfoot and heel. New Balance nailed the midsole with their Fuelcell foam. The upper manages to provide great lockdown while being so thin and light it's see-through. There are almost no shoes I enjoy going full speed in but these have put themselves on the top of that list, the outsole has rubber in all the right places. These are my new favorite workout and tempo day shoes. The Fuelcell Rebel 2's feel fantastic going fast and provide enough cushioning for longer runs as well.
The NB Rebel is my new favorite shoe. It is the perfect combination of comfort and cushion with a springy/fast feel. It fits a little snug, which I like. You can use it for any type of run - easy miles, tempo runs, speed work. I would even feel comfortable racing in these as well, for a race that I don't want to break out a carbon shoe for.
These are easily the best shoes I’ve ever run in. Light. Great energy return. They do run small though.
