CUSTOMER RATINGS & REVIEWS
The endorphin Shift is a great daily trainer for someone wanting to increase the cadence of their strides. The roll is a brillant touch on a lightweight shoe that propels the runner foward making the shoe almost run for you. Unfornately after a few miles I felt a pinch on my big toe. While my feet are not particualy wide the cut of the toe box on the enorphin series (be it shift, speed or pro) is a bit narrow for my tastes as I like to be able to flex my toes as I run. In a shoe that rolls me foward I expect a bit of room to be able to use this grip. I get that the enorphin line is probally more based on kinvera shaped saucony shoes, but it would have been nice to have a more ride shaped toe box, but get a narrow footed runner in this shoe and this rating would probally be 5 stars.
First off I’m a big fan of Saucony. They fit my foot well and the foams used are comfortable. When I first saw the Endorphin line I didn’t know exactly where the Shift should sit. It seemed similar to the Ride as a daily trainer. Why this shoe? Then I took it out. The cushion is a lot. But it’s not a marshmallow. I’m protected, but the Speedroll technology gives great turnover to this daily trainer. I can log many miles without feeling beat up after. The 4mm drop is the same as my beloved Kinvara. I can cruise along comfortably slow, or I can pick up the pace and cruise. While this doesn’t have the light weight and pop of the Endorphin Speed, this shoe feels more stable. When I get tired or just want to put in an easy effort, this shoe is there and reliable. It is durable, and the reflective accents really stand out on my dark morning runs. I didn’t know what I was getting with the Shift, but it has become a reliably loved shoe in my rotation. My feet and old knees thank me after every run in these!
