Awesome shoe! great fit, cushioned ride. Probably not the best choice for wider feet.
Best running show ever!
I actually have done everything but run in this shoe! It's awesome for casual wear, a work shoe and a gym shoe! I have a wider forefoot and I found that the men's version fit better, I just went down 1.5 sizes! (7.5 instead of 9) I wear an insert with this shoe which helps provide me with a little added stability, and the cushioning is fantastic!
The Saucony Kinvara 11 is a great shoe. I had never run in the Kinvara until now, surprisingly, since it seems like the type of shoe I would be into. This model has confirmed that. I was honestly expecting it to be more firm, but the PWRRUN cushioning gives it a nice bit of bounce. Definitely not the super-soft, plush type, but I never found them lacking on a slightly longer run. The lower drop and lighter weight make for a nice change of pace, both figuratively and literally, from a traditional, everyday trainer. Perfect for faster workouts, and still enough shoe to do some distance if you need it to. The fit is not as roomy as some other Saucony offerings – probably designed this way on purpose so that you feel secure and locked in when the pace picks up. Still, I never had a problem with tightness or crowding in the toebox. The Kinvara won't last quite as long as a true workhorse shoe, but is still great at what it does, and the versatility will make it a valued addition to any runner's arsenal.
I haven’t used previous versions of the Kinvara, as I was worried it wouldn’t be enough cushioning for me. Boy was I wrong! The Kinvara 11 was one that I accidentally bought two of, but decided to keep both and make up my mind after a few runs on whether or not to return the second. Spoiler- I bought more. This shoe has the right amount of cushioning for my long runs of 16-20 miles. I love the lower drop and the light weight. The ride is incredibly smooth, and the platform is stable. When I need to hit tempo paces, or intervals on the track, the Kinvara is my go to. The fit is just wide enough in the forefoot for some toe splay (I have average to slightly wider feet) but the laces lock my heel and mid-foot nicely. The Kinvara is a simple no frills trainer that is far more versatile than it appears. I didn’t expect to like this shoe a lot. Instead I accidentally fell in love. Pro tip- check out the Shoes with Soul collection that benefits the Boston Children’s Hospital. The shoes look great and the kids who designed the shoes are inspiring.
